The Nature of the Report

The Drudge Report began as a simple World Wide Web page on the Internet. Its initial focus was on entertainment industry reporting, and that focus has remained an important element in Drudge's work. America Online has archived a select group of previous reports, and a 1998 report showed how Drudge utilized Hollywood sources and blended tabloid news with political information. Here are some excerpts of the Drudge Report from February 10, 1998:
